Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping and financial record-keeping - Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements - Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions - Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations - Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax - Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies or errors in financial records - Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities - Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred - Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) - Proficiency in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks - Familiarity with technical accounting skills, including debits and credits - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Prior experience in public accounting is a plus If you are a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting skills, we encourage you to apply for the position of Bookkeeper.
