Vehicle Description 1969 Mustang Convertible This is a one owner car.
She bought the car as a graduation present to herself in 1969 and has kept and maintained her ever since.
Initially the car was a daily driver, that was for approximately the first 10 years of ownership.
When she started a family the Mustang became the weekend car.
Since then, she has ammased just over 97,000 miles on the car, which only averages out to less than 2000 miles per year.
Also in that time frame, the car has nearly been completely rebuilt.
If something needed to be replaced, she had it replaced, it was regularly serviced and about 10 years ago, she had the car restored which included new floor pans and repair panels for the lower rear quarters, the seats were reupholstered and the car was repainted in the original Winter Blue.
At the same time she had the brakes upgraded to power (they're still 4 wheel drums) and the steering upgraded to power.
All new bushings, springs (F&R) and shocks were installed when the steering was done.
Nearly everything on the outside of the car was replaced, lenses, chrome trim, etc.
The Mustang rolled off the line on April 30, 1969 in Winter Blue, with a white power top, 302 2bbl, non-power drum brakes, C4 automatic transmission, 2.
79 open differential, blue bucket seats/blue interior, non-power steering, AM Radio, just a very basic V8 Mustang convertible that she bought to enjoy with the top down.
About 3 years ago, she decided to get the car repainted again as she was never really happy with the paint job that was done when it was restored.
She drove the car a bit after that however, as age krept in, getting in and mostly out became more difficult.
She started thinking about selling the car on to a new home.
In preparation for the sale the car was given a full tune up, had a 4 bbl Edelbrock carb and aluminum manifold installed, new dual exhaust w/crossover, new weatherstripping on the doors and windows and new BFG redline Silvertown radials in 215/65/R15 were installed.
The car runs and drives beautifully, starts easily with two pumps of the gas.
The power top works as it should.
The AM radio was replaced with one of the stock appearing units that has AM/FM/Aux hook ups for bluetooth, CD player, MP3/4.
The paint looks awesome with only two small cracks and the car is rot free.
There is minor surface corrosion on some of the undercarriage.
The chrome was redone during the first restoration and looks awesome.
The interior shows the most wear; the seats are beautiful, practically new, the armrests show some wear as do the tops of the doors, the carpet is in very good condition but does have a couple of stains that would probably come out witha deep cleaning, the steering wheel has one small crack and an aftermarket console was dropped in.
This car is totally turn key, and ready to enjoy, would be welcome at any local cruise night and car show and although not in concours quality condition, might even do well in local car shows.
The car is ready to move on to her next home and the owner will take $33,000 for her, firm.
Any questions, for MANY more photos and videos, to schedule a time to see her or to place an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for the interest.
